We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join our fantastic team at Grange School.
This is a Grade 3, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £21,662 and the full time equivalent is £25,185.
We’re looking for:
We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our administration team who works collaboratively to ensure that the schools administration runs efficiently and effectively. This position will be based on the school reception and having primary responsibility for reception duties but supporting the wider admin team providing excellent customer service to colleagues, students and the wider school community.
• You will be well organised, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a range of different audiences, including , parents, colleagues, students and external agencies.
• You will have excellent ICT skills and administration skills so you can provide outstanding support to the team and school.

Main purpose of the job:
This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and ability to multitask will make a real impact. Reporting to the School Operations Manager
Key responsibilities will include:
Welcoming visitors and handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
Providing general administrative support (photocopying, filing, data entry, correspondence)
Arranging meetings and taking high-quality notes
Maintaining school systems, records and display boards
Supporting school with mail distribution and stock management
Using ICT systems such as Word, Excel and databases
Helping with pupil welfare and first aid (training provided)

The Grange School is a special school located in Levenshulme, Manchester which provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Grange offers a bespoke education for a wide range of pupils between EYFS and KS5 through the provision of a carefully planned and stimulating environment where the pupils can explore, investigate and learn. The bespoke Know and Remember Curriculum has been devised to ensure pupils have access to all the statutory content from the National Curriculum, delivered through engaging and challenging classroom activities. Pupils are set targets each term and progress is measured throughout the school year using our bespoke pupil data system.
Grange School offers some of the most exciting and engaging curriculum enrichment activities to support the pupil’s learning. We have an on-site farm with alpacas, pigs and ducks, alongside guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and a gecko. An enhanced learning area called the Know Globes supports the delivery of the Remember More Curriculum, and a full-size role play area known as Imagination Village enables pupils to practise real-world skills such as using money, work in our on-site post office and mail delivery service or experience several other real-world settings, including a grocer’s, a doctor’s surgery, a vet’s, a bakery and a mechanics garage.
KS4 and KS5 have a curriculum designed around the world of work and offer accredited courses in English, maths and PSHE in KS4, along with a range of qualifications as they move into KS5 – including Active Sports and Leisure, Catering and Hospitality and Construction, to name but a few.
