Agriculture Lecturer

At Plumpton College we are currently embarking on an exciting £11m Agri-Food investment programme and we're looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring lecturer to join our highly successful Agri-Food and Environment division on a full-time permanent basis. Plumpton College has a long-standing excellent reputation for its Agriculture provision, as well as a highly successful commercial modern farm that has benefitted from a huge investment in new technologies. This role requires an excellent teacher to deliver effective teaching, learning, assessment, and support to agriculture students, helping them to maximise their potential and make positive progress towards their timely success, future study, and employment. You will be able to inspire and motivate our students and make a significant contribution to our successful programmes.

If you have good industry skills and aspirations to be a lecturer we will support you to develop your teaching skills through our trainee teacher programme. This will involve a reduced teaching commitment whilst you gain your credentials to become a qualified teacher. Full support will be in place throughout the process.  

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or equivalent qualification in Agriculture and will either hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to gain a relevant formal qualification in role - we offer excellent teacher training and CPD opportunities to all academic staff. You will be a professional, hardworking, and confident team player with a track record of good or outstanding teaching and above all you will be passionate about what you do!
