Join Guildford County School in our exciting journey as we recruit to the new role of Assistant Headteacher: Inclusion, a post with responsibility for leading our new ASD unit and overseeing our vulnerable learners provision (SEND, PP, (P)LAC). As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will have significant and strategic influence right from the set-up phase of our new venture to support ASD learners. 

Launching our ASD unit in September 2025, the school will provide a unique education for up to five students per year group, catering to their complex needs in a specially designed and self-contained environment, with access to the main school when appropriate. As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of this important initiative.

Whilst the specific nature of this vacancy relates to Inclusion and SEND, at Guildford County School we are committed to ensuring the full and rounded development of our senior leaders and will ensure that the successful candidate is exposed to a raft of experience that will allow professional growth and deep levels of satisfaction in the role. For your interest, we currently have four Assistant Headteachers – AHT Learning and Teaching; AHT Progress and Logistics; AHT Director of Sixth Form and AHT Digital Transformation.
