In October 2016, we moved into a brand new state-of-the-art building. We have a strong reputation and high expectations of both students and staff and consider this to be an exciting place to work and develop, where creativity and innovation are nurtured. We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and high calibre leader to join our energetic and dynamic Senior Leadership Team.  The exact nature of the role will be determined by the skills, attributes and experience that the successful candidate brings to the post. However, experience in data analysis and reporting would be beneficial.  The role will be critical in ensuring that the quality of teaching and learning in the school is outstanding. You will engage and inspire our students as a subject teacher, allowing them to make outstanding progress and achieve strong results. You will be pivotal in ensuring that the Senior Leadership Team is strategic, innovative and caring in its approach to both students and staff.


We will support and develop you to become an outstanding leader and provide working partnership opportunities with other schools.  We are an aspirational, reflective and creative learning community where all adults are learners who take risks in order to achieve excellent results for our students.

About Little Ilford School

Little Ilford School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 secondary school, situated in the London Borough of Newham. The school, which was founded in 1957, has 1,500 students on roll.

Little Ilford School is part of the Manor Park Schools Community Partnership, along with most of its partnership primary schools, and is a Lead Practitioner Learning Centre for the SSAT.

Founded in 1957, Little Ilford School is a successful mixed multicultural 11-16 secondary school with 12 forms of entry situated in the London Borough of Newham.

We are a high achieving school described by Ofsted as good in their last inspection in 2022. We are a proud, diverse and celebratory institution that enjoys an excellent reputation and strives to be an outward facing school working closely with our community.

We are culturally rich with an ethos based around praise, support and caring for each other. Most of our students begin at LIS well below national standards but achieve in line with, or exceed, national standards when they leave in Year 11; our students achieve well above national rates of progression. We expect all of our students to excel.
