Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a vibrant and busy Inclusion department in a successful, dynamic and forward-thinking Academy?
We are looking for a talented and committed Assistant SENCo, with an enthusiasm for working with children with special educational needs and the ability to inspire our staff and students.
The successful candidate will join our dynamic Inclusion department, with responsibility for coordinating SEN interventions in literacy and numeracy, testing students for special educational needs and assisting in implementing the requirements of the DfE Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs. For the right candidate this is a fantastic opportunity to develop a skill base and knowledge within SEN and student support, and continue to build on the successes of a well-established department.
The successful candidate will have successful experience as a classroom teacher, a strong level of literacy and numeracy, excellent academic qualifications, and an interest and enthusiasm for working with children with special educational needs. An appropriate teaching certificate is essential, as part of this role will encompass you teaching literacy.
Applications are welcome from all curriculum backgrounds and key stages. It is not essential that applicants have extensive formal SEN training as we will support the right person to develop their knowledge in this area, however experience of access arrangements would be advantageous.
