Boys' Boarding Houseparent

Our Boarding at Wycliffe Prep is exceptional. We have a thriving environment for up to 70 Boarders aged from 7 – 13 across a boys’ and a girls’ house. The two houses share the same ethos and systems and spend a lot of co-educational time together. This vacancy is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to have the responsibility of up to 35 boys, working alongside the Head of Boarding who also runs the Girls’ House. The two House Parents are supported by an Assistant House Parent and a team of matrons and Resident Assistants. Boarding is an integral part of our school and the role would include involvement in the day part of the school as well as a teaching commitment, extra curricular activities and adding to the Games Programme. We are looking for someone who is a genuine team player, who has the care and development of young people at the heart of their own set of values and has the organisational skills to manage a busy house.  

Terms of Appointment

This is a full-time permanent position offered during school term time with a September 2024 start. Our Boarding week is very busy with the majority of pupils staying in school for the weekend. This role has a day off in the week, a significant chunk of time on either a Saturday or Sunday. Prep School House Parents work at least four evenings a week and are on call overnight. Sundays are trip days which often involve being off site.

Teaching salary on the Wycliffe Pay Scale with additional responsibility allowance
