Al Khor International School is one of the largest international schools in the Middle East with more than 4,000 students. We are owned by Qatargas, the world’s largest producers of liquefied natural gas. The school has exceptional facilities and is located in Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar’s capital city Doha.
The role
The role holder will be responsible for:
- Coordinating transcripts through the exams office.
- Coordinating references and reference writing through subject teachers and form tutors.
- Coordinating careers fairs, events and visiting speakers.
- Coordinating option choices and career planning through KS5 housemaster.
- Continuing with present, and establishing new, links with universities regionally and internationally.
- Developing, establishing and, maintaining whole school links to bridge students and parents from BC and CBSE.
- Developing internship and scholarship opportunities.
- Developing, establishing and maintaining KS5 networks with international schools locally and regionally.
- Developing, establishing and maintaining an AKIS alumni network.
- Providing and delivering a clear careers programme to KS5 students.
- Producing written reports and case studies when requested.
The candidate
We are looking for a candidate with a background of International and UK application processes to access university. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree and knowledge of iGCSEs and A-levels in relation to international university applications. They will also have experience in training and providing ongoing assistance for quality assurance. A solid background of working well in a collaborative environment with excellent personal skills, and have demonstrated success in creating strong relationships with colleagues, faculty, students and parents is essential for this role.
