Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is seeking to appoint an experienced Cashier to start in July 2024. The ideal candidate should manage the day-to-day administrative tasks of the accounts office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or Accounts related qualification is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within accounts department
  • Experience working in a similar role within a school is a plus.
  • Able to multitask and cope with a degree of pressure at peak times.
  • Knowledge in general accounts office procedures, policies and methods
  • Experienced in using MS Office with strong excel skills and Financial Software Systems.
  • Strong verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid communication skills and attention to detail.

Core Responsibilities

  • Handle cash, credit card or check transactions.
  • Collecting fees, tuition, and other payments from students, parents, and staff. This involves accurately counting money, processing payments, and providing receipts.
  • Interacting with students, parents, and staff in a friendly and professional manner. Addressing inquiries about fees, payments, and account balances, and providing assistance with payment options or billing concerns.
  • Handling & maintaining the petty cash system.
  • Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
  • Keep records of transactions.
  • Responsible for posting daily entries in the accounting software for the collections received during the day.
  • Fulfil any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the reporting manager.
