Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. From September 2018 we have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We provide special education to students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development. We recently relocated to our purpose built new school building (close to Osterley Tube Station and other public transport links) that offers state of the art facilities for our students along with a brand new professional kitchen, two café areas and a small shop. In time, the primary and secondary schools will be based on two sites with New Oaks Primary moving back to Woodlands Road once refurbishment is completed. When at capacity there will be 240 students and 200 staff at the Gresham Road site and 70 students and 50 staff at the Woodlands Road site.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and talented chef manager to develop, lead and deliver a first class food provision for our students and staff. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and passionate about food, will have a track record of leading teams to success, and possess strong relationship building skills.

We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). Oaklands secondary school moved to its current location in 2018 and boasts excellent facilities to provide a secondary and preparing for adulthood curriculum. Facilities include a sports centre, which is hired during evenings and weekends and outside term time under a planning condition.

Upon completing their apprenticeship, our staff will gain a level 3 qualification.
