Job overview

Chief Executive Officer – Wardle Trust

With our founding Chief Executive Officer’s impending retirement, Wardle Trust is looking for an exceptional candidate to build on the excellent achievements already made. The successful candidate will lead expansion and secure high quality educational experiences for all pupils, students and stakeholders.

Working in partnership with the academies within this mixed Trust and reporting directly to the Trustees, you would be committing to shaping and driving a truly schools-led improvement system, from Early Years through to GCSE, across a diverse range of provision.

Building on an already high-performing schools system, and a strong collective ethos, Wardle Trust aspires to go further in empowering and enabling schools to work together, to share good practice, and to support and hold each other to account on behalf of our children and young people.

The role of Chief Executive Officer of Wardle Trust represents a unique opportunity for an ambitious and highly capable individual to lead and shape this growing organisation - an organisation owned and governed by school leaders, with school improvement and exceptional opportunity at its heart.

The Trust is a dynamic and growing organisation. There will be ongoing internal and external demands. The successful applicant will need to respond to these under the direction of the members and Trust Board over time.

The candidate will be an inspirational and aspirational leader with strong interpersonal skills who will build a foundation of professional relationships that encourage collaborative and transparent working. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving and managing cultural and organisational change and of leading improvement and efficiency within a complex organisation.
