Morley Newlands Academy is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational SENDCo to join our team and to provide exciting learning opportunities for our children.


Our new teacher will:

·      To be responsible for the strategic management of the academy’s SEND policy.

·      Have high expectations of themselves, the people they work with and the children they teach.

·      Be committed to driving forward pupil progress and achievement.

·      Be an effective and reflective classroom practitioner who is willing to learn and develop whilst sharing expertise to develop others.

·      Be available to deliver high-quality lessons at discretion of Principal.

·      Demonstrate effective behaviour for learning techniques.

·      Be well organised and able to work well both as part of a team and independently.

·      Be cheerful with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.

·      Be able to demonstrate very good interpersonal and communication skills.

·      Be trained in paediatric first aid.

About us:

Morley Newlands Academy is a large primary school, with over 650 children from Nursery age right up to Year 6. Situated close to the centre of Morley in south Leeds, our academy serves families from across the local community.
