About the role

Wold Academy are looking to attract an enthusiastic and passionate full-time permanent teacher in their first few years of teaching who would like to join Wold Academy. Wold is a supportive school environment and part of a MAT that is committed to the development of their teachers. ECT’s welcome. 

  • Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s that you teach.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy including the correct use of spoken English (whatever your specialist subject).
  • Use relevant data to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons.
  • To use a range of appropriate strategies and follow Academy policies for teaching/tutoring, behaviour management and classroom management.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of your teaching and assessment procedures and its impact on pupils’ progress, attainment and well-being, refining your approaches where necessary responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD
  • Experience of teaching in KS1 or KS2
  • Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching
  • Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies
  • An understanding of good inclusive education
  • Understanding/experience of using programmes such as RWI, Talk 4 Writing etc.
