GENERAL DUTIES


PURPOSE OF JOB
1. To be an effective and reflective classroom teacher able to demonstrate and share good practice.
2. To plan and prepare lessons with regard to individual need.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Model excellent practice and provide leadership in curriculum areas.

Identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenge and high expectations.
• Plan and deliver highly creative, engaging and adaptive lessons to ensure all pupils can access learning and feel included.
• Ensure lessons are inclusive by adapting content, resources, scaffolds and expectations

• Plan opportunities and experiences to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of pupils’ learning.

·       Maintain good order and discipline among pupils.
• Uphold equal opportunities and inclusion to meet diverse needs.
• Monitor teaching, learning and assessment.
• Lead staff meetings and INSET where appropriate.
• Work with the SENCO and external partners.

·       Build strong staff relationships and work as part of a team
• Prepare high quality displays, assemblies and parent meetings.

·       Plan trips for each half term
• Engage in CPD and stay informed on best practice.
• Build strong partnerships with parents.
• Write annual reports.
To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children by adhering to Reay’s Safeguarding Policy and other relevant policies and procedures.

DATA PROTECTION

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• QTS and primary training.
• Experience in primary schools
• Strong planning and assessment practice.
• Experience with SEND and diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and organisation.
• Commitment to inclusion and creativity.

   Be of a positive and calm disposition
