Alternative Learning Trust requires a Clerk to the Governors

Permanent contract

Salary: NJC Grade 5 (£29,583 to £31,440 FTE)

Actual: £25,412 to £27,008

36 hours per week, term time plus INSET days

We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governors to support our Local Governing Bodies within our Kent and Medway Hub.

This post will be responsible for:

·        The timely circulation of agendas and meeting papers;

·        Attending governing body meetings and the production of accurate minutes;

·        Monitoring governing body membership and attendance;

·        Providing administrative support to the governing body;

·        Providing advice to governors on their legal and procedural duties.

Clerking amounts to approximately 20 in person meetings per year including preparation, follow-up and other clerical duties.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from experienced Clerks but also welcome applications from candidates without specific clerking experience who are able to demonstrate the required skills as we are able to offer full training for this role.

Place of Work:

The majority of this post will be working remotely however, the successful candidate must be able to travel to the Kent region.
