As SSI, you will facilitate, organise and deliver military training to all members of the CCF at Benenden and John Wallis Academy, and will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Contingent, including its day-to-day administration and training. You will act as the military advisor to the Headmistress and the Contingent Commander and will also assist the Contingent Officers and CFAVs in promoting the personal development of the Cadets.

You will ideally be an ex-Regular Officer, Warrant Officer, Senior Non-Commissioned Officer or Late Entry Officer, or an experienced member of the Army Reserve or Army Cadet Force. Experience of working with young people is essential, along with excellent communication and ICT skills. Ideally, you will be familiar with the military reporting system and inspection regimes.

The CCF School Instructor role could also be linked with a DofE Assistant Manager role (or similar) which would bring with it an additional salary. Candidates interested in this additional role should discuss this at interview.
