Job Role: Compliance & Contracts Manager

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 10, Points 34 - 37

Actual Salary from: £42,403 - £45,441

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to monitor, lead and report on all elements of compliance across the Trust, ensuring all grounds and buildings are maintained to the highest standard of Health & Safety. Operational oversight of all contractual agreements across the Trust with a focus on procuring appropriate products / services and monitoring service and contract delivery – reporting to key stakeholders.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To undertake relevant and compliant procurement activity and manage all central estates contracts including service documents and records, setting and reporting on agreed KPI’s.
  • Undertake reviews of trust maintenance contracts including cleaning, grounds maintenance and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all schools are operating within the scope of the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy and that areas of concern are evaluated and financed to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.
  • To participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager.

We're looking for you if you have:

·        [Professional Health and Safety Qualification IOSH or above

·        Evidence of leading on joint procurement and achieving value for money

·        Knowledge of statutory inspections and compliance responsibilities for educational/public buildings

·        Ability to work with tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality

The Sigma Trust is a local partnership of twelve academies in North East Essex, formally established in September 2016. The Trust currently consists of eight secondary schools, one primary, two junior schools and an infant and nursery school.

All schools are geographically close enough to provide the necessary support and challenge to take all academies to the next level. We have a set of shared values and a common mission and vision that aims to ensure that no child is left behind. No academy is seen as the “lead” school and we believe that every school should be a giver as well as a receiver of support.
