Job overview
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join our fantastic team at Chorlton High School.
This is a permanent post working 35 hours per week all year round and the starting salary is £33,143 (Grade 6). The role is to start ASAP, as soon as preemployment checks are complete.
We’re looking for:
A highly organised, analytical and proactive individual with excellent IT and communication skills to lead and manage the school’s data, assessment and examinations systems. The successful candidate will have experience of working with complex data systems and be confident in analysing and presenting information to support school improvement and student achievement.
You will be able to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality. Experience of working with Management Information Systems and school assessment processes is desirable, alongside the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
The ideal candidate will be committed to inclusive education, continuous professional development and delivering an excellent service that supports the vision and values of the school and Trust.
Main purpose of the job:
To be responsible for all aspects of the organisation of school data management and assessment processes.
To lead and manage the school’s internal and external examinations processes, ensuring full compliance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations.
To maintain and develop the school’s management information system Arbor, and associated data systems, ensuring data accuracy, security and effective reporting processes.
To work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to analyse and interpret performance data that supports student progress, wellbeing and whole-school improvement.
To support the development of effective systems for reporting, assessment, timetable management and examinations administration across the school.
To lead, support and develop identified staff within the data and examinations functions.
