We currently have the following vacancy in our Trust Head Office at Evering Avenue, BH12 4JG

Ambitions Academies’ Trust have an exciting opening for the correct candidate to join our Finance Leadership Team. There is an opportunity to join the team in the capacity of a Deputy Finance Director. A charted accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or ACA) is desired.

You will be responsible for the implementation and development of finance procedures, planning, preparation and presentation of management accounts and the Academy’s budget. You will play an integral role as part of the Finance Leadership Team supporting the Finance Director to deliver high quality and proactive financial support and guidance across our academies, in line with the Academies Handbook. You will be analytical and enquiring, enjoy being an active team member as well as a leader and able to deal with complex issues.

To be considered as the Deputy Finance Director you will need:

·        Substantial experience working with and influencing at Senior Leadership and Director level

·        Excellent collaboration skills – working as part of the wider finance team as well as across the Trust department and Academies

·        Strong leadership experience

·        Well-developed technical knowledge

·        The ability to work at pace and be a resilient self-starter

·        To be committed to staff growth and development

·        To be a confident professional with integrity and discretion.

You will have demonstratable experience in all areas of Finance and have project management skills. You will also have excellent analysis skills and be able to make and prioritise conflicting and difficult decisions. You will be an effective coach and leader with strategic thinking and experience and have demonstrable experience in winning support and stakeholder management

The Trust will provide training on internal management information systems and will coach you to understand the complexities of the education sector, so candidates from all sectors that believe that they have the required skills & values are encouraged to apply.

The primary work location would be based at Trust Head office, but you will be required to travel to our academies on a regular basis where travel expenses will be paid.
