Thank you for your interest in the post of Deputy Headteacher. The vacancy has arisen following the appointment of the current post-holder to the role of Headteacher in another North Wales school.

Elfed High School is a vibrant, successful 11-16 high school, with highly professional staff and students who are keen to learn. The school has an excellent reputation in the local area and is growing in size each year.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic senior team who deliver outstanding provision through engaging, challenging learning experiences, exciting enrichment opportunities and excellent pastoral care.  You need to be a leader who is determined to support and develop colleagues, have a passion for Teaching and Learning and be committed to making a difference to young people. In return, you will get to work in an exciting and supportive school. 

The current post-holder is responsible for:

·        Teaching and Learning Experiences

·        Professional Learning

·        Performance Management

·        Reducing the Impact of Poverty

·        Curriculum Reform

·        Area Development Planning and Self-Evaluation

However, these may be reviewed dependant on the knowledge and skills of the successful candidate.
