Salary: £32,298 - £33,473 (FTE) Pro rata salary: £28,117 - £29,139

City of London Academy, Highgate Hill, opened as a mixed, all-ability, non-denominational academy in September 2017, and is housed in a lovely building with excellent facilities for students, staff and the community. With the support of our enthusiastic students, diligent staff, supportive parents and cohesive governing body, we strive to provide a calm and purposeful learning environment underpinned by high expectations.

We are seeking a Deputy SENCO to join us in January 2022. You will join our SEN team in this non - teaching position and work with our SENCO. You will have experience as a Deputy SENCO or as a Learning Support Assistant who is ready to advance their career.  You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies. 

Normal hours will be between 8.00am and 4.00pm. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.
