As we look to move from a 3 year to a 2 year GCSE course, we are reviewing our Digital Strategy and looking to recruit a Digital Lead who will drive the development of technology both in the classroom and across the school as a whole. This is a key role within the school and would be ideal for an experienced practitioner who is looking for an opportunity to impact the whole school with our Digital Strategy. Additionally, the successful candidate will support teachers and other colleagues to use existing platforms and technologies effectively. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of teaching ICT/ Computing and Maths but the key requirement is a passion for and knowledge of the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning and the workings of the school as a whole.

Main Purpose of the Post

·        Lead on the Digital Strategy across the school, establishing a vision and strategic direction for the use of technology both in classrooms and in the organisation as a whole.

·        Articulate and model the school’s digital vision and strategic direction, developing and implementing coherent operational plans which promote and sustain continuous school improvement.

·        Develop the Digital Strategy in line with the school improvement planning process, taking account of the agreed priorities of the school and evaluating and recommending Ed Tech tools that align with the school's pedagogical objectives.

·        Lead on the self-evaluation of the Digital Strategy across the school, providing ongoing professional development for teachers to maximise the effective use of selected Ed Tech tools alongside support for all staff across the school in developing their skills.

·        Contribute to the development of a broad and rich Digital curriculum which meets the needs of the full range of students in the school, leading on the strategic integration of AI, computing, Ed Tech, robotics, coding and other technological developments into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences.

·        Establish guidelines for the ethical use of AI, robotics and other technologies across the school, fostering responsible and inclusive practices and ensuring that students understand the societal and ethical impact of emerging technologies.

·        Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of digital education.
