This is a very exciting opportunity to lead and evolve the musical life of one of the largest co-educational Independent Schools in the South-West, and to be involved in the wider musical life of our County. Music is a thriving part of life at Truro School. The School’s leadership team and Governing Body are extremely supportive of the Performing Arts and the School is at the early planning stages for a brand-new music centre to support both School and wider community music.
The new Director of Music at Truro School will arrive at a very exciting time, therefore, and will have a clear understanding of the changing landscape of independent school music and a vision for the needs and aspirations of future generations of pupils.
The successful candidate will be energetic and ambitious, a forward-thinking teacher, with experience of music leadership and academic music teaching. They will relish the opportunity of working in a supportive, busy and aspirational environment, leading a large team and positively managing all aspects of musical activity across the school.
