OGAT's core belief is that children come first, and that every child, irrespective of their background, has the right to an outstanding education. We place children at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success, achieving high academic outcomes and a positive climate for learning. Their growth and development will be a focus, and they will have access to excellent opportunities for continuous professional development.

At Woodlands, we serve a community which has a much higher than average proportion of disadvantaged pupils, therefore we foster a whole school community approach to developing positive relationships, confidence and self-belief which drives our vision of children first. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, nurturing and inclusive staff who are dedicated to providing the best possible education for our children.

Through quality first wave one teaching and additional, carefully planned, support and intervention, we strive to meet the individual needs of all of our learners; aiming for the best possible outcomes for our pupil's regardless of their background, needs or starting points.

We invest a lot of time in to staff development and support by encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and strongly believe in investing in staff to enable them to also reach their full potential.
