EYPDP Programme Lead: £54,100-£55,419

Contract: Fixed term – two years in the first instance

EYPDP Programme Lead: full-time (4 days considered)

Start date: as soon as possible.

We are Speech and Language UK (formerly I CAN) – we want every child to face the future with confidence. For 1.7 million children in the UK learning to talk and understand words feels like an impossible hurdle. We want to reach children earlier to make sure every child has the skills to face the future. We design innovative tools and training for nursery staff and teachers, give families the confidence and skills to help their child and put pressure on politicians to prioritise support for children.

We’re thrilled to be working with the Education Development Trust to deliver Phase 3 of the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP). Through this programme funded by the DfE we will provide a blended mix of online e-Learning and facilitated webinars for up to 10,000 Early Years Practitioners (EYPs).  The programme will run over a two-year period. It starts in February 2023 and there are staggered start dates for the four cohorts of EYPs who will take part.  Each EYP will receive training in three learning modules Communication and Language, early Mathematics and Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED). This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in embedding the best practice to support our youngest children and give them the best start in learning. 

We’re keen to recruit a Programme Lead who will:

·      Provide the leadership and management for the training delivery programme supported by a team of 12 Regional Programme Trainers

·      Be responsible for the project planning and quality assurance to ensure we maintain strong engagement with the participating EYPs to enable them to complete the programme

·      Make sure we capture Practitioners’ views of the quality and impact of the training so we can meet our achieve our key outcomes.

We are keen to hear from you if you are an experienced Early Years teacher / Speech and Language Therapist / Quality Improvement Lead with

·      Experience of leading extensive projects working to tight deadlines

·      Excellent knowledge and understanding of early years practice including the Early Years Foundation Stage / Development Matters and subject specific knowledge related to Communication and Language / Maths and PSED

·      Experience of delivering online training and supporting other to deliver impactful training which engages participants to complete an extensive programme.

·      Experience of managing effective teams to deliver on key outcomes
