The school has recently been named Northern Independent Secondary School of the Year 2018 by The Sunday Times and, as part of our commitment to excellence, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with excellent financial and organisational skills.

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, be reliable and able to establish effective working relationships at all levels particularly as a member of, and leader of, a team.

You should be educated to at least degree level or equivalent, be a dynamic, proactive individual, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. You will demonstrate strong financial management skills, be enthusiastic and yet be able to maintain utter discretion and confidentiality.

You must have experience of working in a finance environment, of preparing budgets, management accounts with accompanying narrative reports and year end accounts. Experience of working within an educational or quasi-public sector environment would be an advantage. You will preferably hold a professional accountancy qualification.

You must also possess excellent ICT skills. Training will be provided for all relevant in-house accounting packages.

Bradford Grammar School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent school situated in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The school caters for children from junior school through to sixth form, aged between 6-19. Admission is by exam. There are approximately 1,120 students at the school.   

Bradford Grammar School was founded in 1662 by Royal Charter and has been based on its current site since 1949. It shares a site with its junior school, Clock House. Facilities include specialist sports grounds, a swimming pool and gym.
