About St Joseph’s Specialist Trust

St Joseph’s Specialist Trust is an independent non-maintained specialist school and college (Ofsted Outstanding), registered children’s home with two local adult supported living houses nearby, located in Cranleigh, Surrey, midway between Guildford and Horsham, in the Surrey Hills. The St Joseph’s community consists of approximately seventy five students at the school and college, eleven tenants resident at the Supported Living Houses who are supported by almost 270 staff.

We cater for young people aged 5 – 19 with complex and severe learning difficulties, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum, and other associated difficulties.  Our provision uses an embedded therapies approach and focuses on access to the community for all, irrespective of their challenges. We are a Catholic provision with Christian principles at our core; welcoming students and staff of all faiths and of none.
