Head of Art & Design

Great Ballard is seeking an exceptional Head of Art & Design to join our growing school. This is an exciting time for art at Great Ballard. The school has always had an outstanding reputation in this subject and standards have been exceptionally high. We are looking for a leader to pick up the reins . The department moves into new premises during 2023/4 and our first GCSE candidates take their exams at the end of that same year. There is a creativity embedded within the school's ethos that means art and design will continue to receive support in the curriculum and as part of our rich co-curricular offering. Art's power to change lives will never be underestimated.

Great Ballard is a delightful, co-educational independent day school for children aged 2 and a half to 16 years. We are truly unique in providing individualised care and support for the children and a safe space in which each pupil can be inspired and discover what they can really achieve. Pupils are known by all staff, not just their form tutor and the school takes great pride in ensuring that none ever feel invisible or overlooked.

We opened our senior school welcoming year 9 in September 2021 with years 10 & 11 following in the subsequent two years. These are exciting times for the school which is rapidly growing and we are now looking for an exceptional Head of Art & Design with the can-do attitude, taste for adventure and vision to support us with our plans.
