We are looking for an inspirational and energetic practitioner to coach our pupils in a wide variety of sport with a specialist area in Hockey. The ideal candidate will be able to coach Hockey and knowledge of other sport would be advantageous, ie; Netball, Cricket, Basketball, Athletics, Swimming). You would also be required to have coaching qualifications in Hockey (L2 or above), but those in other sports can be obtained during your employment.

At Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation, we are looking for drive, imagination and the ability to motivate pupils in order to bring out the best in them. The person appointed will work well in a team and show initiative when working with colleagues and pupils.

Person Specification:

-       Aptitude for dealing with young people in a close environment.

-       Empathy and understanding.

-       Initiative and ability to work independently whilst being an effective team player.

-       Attentive to detail.

-       Ability to communicate sensitively with parents, pupils and other members of the team.

-       Excellent interpersonal skills.

-       Team player with a flexible and willing attitude.

-       Good IT skills.

-       Good organisational and time management skills.

-       Ability to contribute to the wider co-curricular and pastoral programme of the School.

-       Ability to exemplify and maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct at all times.
