Head of Primary

PACE British school is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious Head of Primary who will be part of our Senior Leadership Team.

We are a successful up and coming school with BSO accreditation and require a Head of Primary who can demonstrate leadership and management skills compatible with our schools vision, mission and values. The appointee needs to be able to offer leadership of learning, support pastoral development, help to manage the day-to-day operation of the school, play a major role in our strategic planning and work effectively as a team member.

We follow the national curriculum for England in primary. In secondary the curriculum progresses to IGCSE and AS Level qualifications.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• To work closely with our Principal and Vice Principal as well as other members of the senior leadership team.
• To be responsible for managing all staff, curriculum content and assessment for the primary school and will also support in the academic management of the school.
• To continue to help us to raise the standards of teaching & learning, on a day-to-day basis.
• To work effectively with other school leaders, helping to promote and embed the school’s mission and vision statements.
• To forge excellent relationships with all stakeholders, parents, staff and pupils.
• To implement and support the School’s Vision & Mission and School Improvement Plan with clarity and commitment.
• To drive excellence in teaching and learning throughout the primary years. You will place great value on students and staff and will be focused on the development of your team.
• To review and further develop the pastoral systems in the school to ensure a smooth transition between phases.
• To support the middle leadership team to implement change, provide strong curriculum leadership and ensure there is a high commitment to academic progress and the well-being of all students.
• To help to develop assessment to ensure that every student makes excellent levels of progress, ensuring this is reflected in robust internal data and internationally benchmarked tests.
• To create a culture where collaborative, progressive learning is highly valued amongst staff and students, be engaging, possess excellent communication skills and have strong emotional intelligence.
• To be responsible to promote and safeguard the welfare of all students in the school.

This is a full-time vacancy with a start date of 15th August 2024.

Applicants:

Essential: PGCE or B.Ed. and QTS

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership role

Preferable: International experience/ NPQSL/NPQH
