We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Head of Department who is passionate about Technology and is an excellent classroom practitioner. This exciting role offers an ideal opportunity for a candidate who would like to move into a middle leadership post and develop curriculum opportunities within the Technology department.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Head of Department with the ability to review work plans, curriculum offer, learning, teaching, attainment and progress of current cohorts of students. Currently the department offers Cooking and Nutrition across the age and ability range within Key Stage 3. In addition to this the department currently offers BTEC Tech Award Health and Social Care and Eduqas Level 1/2 in Hospitality and Catering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively mentoring, developing and leading the Technology department. You should have:

·        A real passion for leading teaching and learning in Technology

·        The ability to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils along with the ability to manage behaviour

·        Evidence of real measurable impact as a teacher/and middle leader

·        A willingness to contribute to the school and multi academy trust at all levels
