Head of Year – Maternity Cover

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and well qualified teacher to take responsibility for the welfare and progress of pupils of a Key Stage 3 year group. This is a maternity cover, starting September 2024 or sooner.

This is a key position in the school. The post holder will report to an associate member of the Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will have gained some experience of pastoral care and any other relevant experiences outside of the classroom in developing students’ wider life skills.

QEGS is a high achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive converter academy. The school is The North London hub for the National SCITT for training Maths and Physics teachers. As a training hub, we offer excellent CPD opportunities for our own staff, in-house, through external partnership and national programmes.
