Head Teacher

St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Academies Trust are delighted to be seeking an inspirational and passionate Head Teacher to lead The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary school in  Northampton.  

The pupils, staff and Directors are extremely proud of the school; it is a loving, nurturing and exciting learning environment where every child is special.

The school is part of the St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Academies Trust together with all the Catholic Schools in the Town of Northampton. The vision for the Trust is;

The school has recently taken on the direct running of the nursery provision and is designated as a two form entry school. The staff work closely together within the school and with staff across primary schools in the Trust to provide high quality Catholic education aspiring to excellence in everything we do. 

The school has a strong tradition for sporting participation and children compete locally and regionally in a range of activities. 

We are looking for our new Headteacher in the Good Shepherd to be an inspirational leader, passionate about children’s learning and possessing a rich knowledge of current teaching, safeguarding and best practice. They will be an effective communicator, someone who leads by example and believes that every child can succeed.
