The Board of Trustees of SHINE, in partnership with Langold Dyscarr  Community School’s Local Governing Body, are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious and inspirational Headteacher to lead this special school on its ongoing journey of school Improvement.

Since it’s last Ofsted in June 2018, the school has already taken great strides forward. With a hard working committed staff, delightful pupils and a very supportive community this headship provides a rare opportunity for exactly the right leader with exactly the right set of skills and personality. Langold will be joining SHINE Multi Academy Trust in March 1st if not before. Our Trust is value driven through our clear maxims of SHINE, Dare to be Different and Take Care. With the inclusion of Langold we will comprise of five diverse primaries The Trust works together to embrace and shape the future of primary education for all our pupils.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of improving and maintaining high standards of achievement. The successful applicant will be someone of outstanding ability, vision and potential, who would welcome the opportunity to prove themselves in the context of this school. This person will also be committed to being part of the leadership of a primary multi academy trust and the broader leadership, learning and experience this offers. In this context, the successful candidate will have access to relevant continued professional development, but also the chance to work with other highly capable and motivated leaders – both within Langold and throughout SHINE.
