St Edward’s is seeking to appoint an experienced part-time Hockey Coach to join our team for the Autumn term.

In this role, you will coach a minimum of two sessions a week as part of our structured games programme, playing a key role in developing the skills and enthusiasm of our pupils, from beginners to performance level.

During the Autumn term, upwards of 150 girls across fourteen teams in five-year groups participate in hockey. Alongside this, a boys’ preseason programme runs in preparation for the Spring term. 

We are seeking a candidate with at least a Level 1 Hockey Coaching Qualification, though a higher qualification is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of technical and tactical hockey strategies, coupled with previous experience in both playing and coaching the sport. Experience in group coaching across various ages and skill levels is essential for this role.

Working Hours:

  • Tuesday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (subject to home or away fixtures)

Additional coaching sessions may be required on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm, with specific hours to be agreed upon with the Head of Hockey.
