Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking ICT Coordinator to lead the integration and advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across our educational environment. This pivotal role combines strategic planning, curriculum innovation, infrastructure management, and staff development to ensure our school remains at the forefront of educational technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching & Learning Excellence
  • Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with established pedagogical methodologies and evaluation criteria.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through tailored learning strategies.
  • Monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date teaching practices and actively contribute to departmental meetings and resource planning.
Strategic ICT Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategic plan in collaboration with academic departments.
  • Ensure ICT is seamlessly embedded across the curriculum, enhancing learning outcomes and avoiding redundancy.
  • Lead pedagogical projects such as robotics and entrepreneurship, including curriculum design and teacher support.
Staff Training & Professional Development
  • Design and deliver induction and ongoing training programs for staff on platforms such as Atalaya, ECINet, and Office 365.
  • Assess training needs and provide targeted support to enhance digital competence and confidence.
Infrastructure Oversight
  • Manage educational technology resources including computer labs, tablets, robotics kits, and fabrication tools.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure systems are secure, updated, and aligned with school policies.
  • Oversee compliance for both school-owned and BYOD devices.
Curriculum Innovation
  • Partner with departments to integrate ICT into subject areas using relevant apps, websites, and software.
  • Develop a future-ready ICT curriculum emphasizing 21st-century skills such as coding, robotics, and digital literacy.
Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of ICT initiatives and report findings to school leadership.
  • Establish feedback channels to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous innovation.
Community Engagement & Support
  • Facilitate ICT-related extracurricular activities, including robotics clubs and summer programs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and provide tutorials on cloud-based tools and digital platforms.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for ICT-related support across all departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field recognized by the Ministry of Education (national or international).
  • Strong understanding of current educational legislation and school policies.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and educational technology tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and professional conduct in line with statutory guidance.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire others in the use of ICT in education.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Reporting & Planning
  • Monthly reporting to the IT Manager and active participation in strategic planning sessions.
  • Annual and term-based responsibilities include:
  • Launching internet safety campaigns.
  • Updating and maintaining devices and software.
  • Coordinating with systems teams to enhance digital resources.
  • Ensuring readiness for the academic year transitions.

 Founded in 1969 by Linda Randell, The English Centre (El Centro Inglés) is located in Cádiz, Spain. The area of Cádiz is located on the country’s southwestern coast, and has a population of 124,000. The school campus spreads across 18,000 square metres, of which 7,500 is designated classroom space. School facilities include a music room, ICT Suites, laboratory and specialist classrooms, dining room, kitchen, tutorial rooms, reception, bar, indoor hall and assembly hall.

The English Centre is co-educational and secular, and students are taught between the ages of 2-18. The school hosts language immersion Summer Camps, courses abroad and in Language Centres. The Palabramos is a creative writing workshop for 10-18 year olds, and is unique for the Cádiz region. The English Centre identity is founded around the idea that ‘English is Fun’, and utilises modern teaching methods to continually improve language education.
