St Joseph's is seeking to employ a dedicated and experienced Instrumental Music Teacher, to join our school and provide high quality lessons to our students. The successful candidate will be required to teach individual and group lessons to students from Prep to Year 6. 

The successful applicant will need to have relevant qualifications and or experience in teaching Guitar, Lower String - Cello & Double Bass and Voice Lessons. An Ability to work with our School Choir would be highly desirable. Applicants are required to hold or obtain a Blue Card and must qualify to work in Australia. Remuneration is in line with the Music Teachers Association of Queensland tuition rates. A willingness to contribute to St Joseph's Music program is highly desirable.

St Josephs Catholic Primary School Kangaroo Point was founded by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop in 1870. In 1880 the Sisters of Mercy took over the leadership of the school. It is one of the oldest Primary schools in the Brisbane Catholic Education system. It is now a thriving, cosmopolitan, contemporary, inner-city school, set in lush surroundings servicing the Parish of Kangaroo Point / East Brisbane. St Josephs is a multicultural inner city cosmopolitan school with a population of approximately 325 students and has an excellent reputation for the Arts Academics and Sports.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   5 - 20 hours per week

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Dependant on the number of students taught per week

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
