The Mount School York, a leading academic independent day and boarding school comprising of a Senior School for girls aged 11 to 18 and a Junior School for girls and boys aged 2 to 11, requires as soon as possible:

JUNIOR SCHOOL SECRETARY (Part-Time, Term-Time Only)

We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior School Secretary. The role will involve providing personal assistance to the Head of Junior School and secretarial support to the wider Junior School staff. Excellent secretarial, organisational and IT skills are essential as is the ability to communicate and write well, with an excellent command of the English Language. 

This is a part-time, term-time only role, working the equivalent of 35 weeks per year. The hours of work are 22.5hrs per week, 4.5hrs per day, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 1.30pm (can be negotiated), with the need to be flexible on occasions and to work extra hours some weeks when required, e.g. for Open Events.

The Mount School is set in 16 acres of beautiful grounds located ten minutes’ walk from York’s historic centre and the main railway station.
