A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Lead Practitioner of Maths to join our team from September 24.
This is an exciting opportunity which will enable you to develop your leadership skills by working both within the Mathematics department and across the academy to raise standards in teaching and learning.

- The Head of Faculty for Mathematics and the team have ensured that topics are sequenced effectively, through a detailed scheme of work which incorporates a strategic approach to the learning of each topic, enabling students to build their knowledge and skills over time, and exposing students to a rich and broad curriculum.
- The mathematics faculty is based in a designated block and is shared with the English Faculty. The block has recently been renovated, providing spacious and well-designed classrooms with the resources required for a modern teaching and learning environment.
- Mathematics is taught by subject specialists who have a passion for Mathematics, and more importantly a passion to develop our students in a subject that underpins a variety of subjects, helping them to become multi-skilled individuals.

About Airedale Academy
Airedale Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form in West Yorkshire, serving students from the ages of 11 to 18. The secondary school, situated in Airedale, Castleford has 1100 students on record. It is part of Northern Ambition Academies Trust, a 4 school MAT spanning an age range of 2-18.
The school maintained its judgement of good by Ofsted in 2022.
