You’ll teach a range of SEND students in small groups, classrooms and one-to-one settings, delivering the curriculum creatively and imaginatively to provide high quality teaching strategies informed by each student’s IEP. There will be a particular focus on helping students build the study skills they need to work effectively and independently. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Head of Department to devise appropriate intervention programmes, assist with online screening assessments and create and review IEPs.
With the ability to communicate well with students, colleagues and parents alike, you combine a good knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 with a real passion for helping SEND students access the entire curriculum. A positive and enthusiastic approach is important too, along with the vision to help us develop the department to ensure that if offers the very highest levels of support.
