Thank you for your interest in our vacancy for Learning Mentor Assistant H4.
The available position is full time 32.5 hours per week (term time only) and will involve working within one of our classrooms as well as providing cover across the school as required. The Learning Mentor Assistants also work to provide pastoral and educational support to pupils on an individual and group basis. to provide additional adult support where there are pupils with additional needs.
You will need to be in school between 8:30 - 3:30 with your addition hours taken to support your work with other staff, pupils and groups. This position starts 1st September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. This position would suit an ambitious individual who is looking to train to become a teacher.
For the last three years, we have provided School Direct Teacher Training and have supported support staff to become teachers. To be eligible for School Direct you must have a degree level qualification, and good GCSEs in English, Maths and Science. Equally this position would suit a Learning Support Assistant who is looking to develop their work in working with pupils providing cover and through working with Special Educational Needs. We are looking for two people to join our team at Central Primary (1x permanent post/ 1x maternity cover) and warmly encourage you to visit the school for a tour and opportunity to discuss the role further.
