Role Overview:
As a Learning Mentor at Vanguard School, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to provide tailored guidance and encouragement, helping students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in an educational or mentoring role supporting children or young people.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to assess individual student needs and develop appropriate support strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with diverse learners facing various challenges.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures within schools is essential; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
