Job overview

We are looking for an exceptional support assistant to join our team to work with a pupil providing 1:1 classroom and medical support. You will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week, term time only. Ideally you will have previous experience of first-aid as well as being enthusiastic, self-motivated, demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and have the ability to work as part of a team and make use of your own initiative when appropriate.   

  • To work in partnership with the teachers, concerning the educational, emotional, social and physical needs/wellbeing of the named pupil. 
  • To work with the pupil in a planned way individually, in a small group, or as part of the larger class and at lunchtime.
  • To support the pupil with medical support as required.
  • To help with setting up and maintaining activities which the named pupil is involved in. 
  • To maintain notes and observations/other records, as directed, concerning the named pupil. 
  • To play a part in the creation and maintenance of a happy, caring, and stimulating environment throughout the school by treating all pupils, parents and fellow professionals with kindness, openness and respect. 


All necessary training (including medical support training) will be provided.
