LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

FTE SALARY:                    Grade 4, Point 2 £29,025 (£24,651 pro rata*) * pro rata is based on 39 weeks and includes 5 inset days.

HOURS:                               Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm 36 hours per week

Please note that there are several events throughout the academic year that you will be required to support, such as Transition Days, Parents’ Evenings, and CATS testing. These may take place during evenings or on Saturdays, but occur only periodically.

CONTRACT TYPE:    Term Time plus inset days

We are keen to hear from:

·         University students (including those on a gap year) seeking valuable school-based experience.

·         Aspiring teachers who wish to begin their career in education as a TA before progressing into teaching

·          Graduates who are looking for a rewarding role in education.

Both full-time and part-time posts are available, offering flexibility to fit around study or family commitments.

 

Minimum Requirements

GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to supporting pupils with a range of needs

 

Desirable Skills/Training

We would be delighted to receive applications from candidates who are trained, or willing to undertake training, in the following areas:

Hearing and/or visual impairment

Speech, language, and communication needs

Social, emotional, and mental health

Emotional literacy
