LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS

31.5 hours per week, term time only

Salary Scale H3 (£13,051 per annum)

We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to work with students and staff to maximise the learning opportunities for all students, support students in the classroom and deliver intervention programmes, on a one-to-one/small group basis. This would be a suitable role for someone seeking to gain classroom experience. Part time hours may be considered.  Experience or interest in working with students with a range of abilities particularly in maths and science is desirable but not essential. The admissions policy prioritises children of staff in accordance with the admission arrangements.

Watford Grammar School for Boys is an academy with over 1400 students, including over 400 in the sixth form. From its origins as a charity school for 60 pupils founded by Dame Elizabeth Fuller in 1704, the boys’ school moved to its present site in 1912 and became an Academy in 2010. Located next to the centre of Watford, near Cassiobury Park, it comprises of a Grade II listed building, The Clarendon Muse, The James Theatre, a dedicated STEM Centre and extensive sports facilities.
