A flexible working pattern will be between the hours of 6:00 am to 7:00 pm as per the needs of the business.
Salary: £24,294-£25,545 (pending pay award)
Additional on call allowance of up to £135 per week on a rota
The Remarkable Group has been established for over 50 years, providing the highest quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 – 25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to Autistic young people. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.
We are looking to appoint a confident and reliable Maintenance Operative who boasts a variety of maintenance skills and knowledge of health and safety.
You will be responsible for undertaking routine and ad-hoc maintenance duties throughout the site so a strong background and experience in these areas is essential. You will also be a key holder and participate in a standby rota therefore; you must be willing to attend to call outs at unsociable hours. You will be available to lock and open the buildings when required. The use of your own vehicle is necessary as you will be expected to travel to different sites to support our activities.
We are looking for someone who;
- has at least five years hands on experience of undertaking a variety of maintenance/caretaker/Health and Safety tasks and working with a variety of people including contractors, preferably in an educational environment.
- is a self-starter with the ability to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and work unsupervised you will be able to forge positive relationships and have a strong commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care.
