Job overview

Working across all four Colleges, the Marketing Assistant will assist with all marketing, promotional and publicity activities geared towards meeting the Group’s strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will support with the planning, implementation and management of marketing events such as; open days, exhibitions and school liaison activities and book promotional activities and advertising across a variety of media platforms to include; online, print, outdoor, broadcast and digital/social media including management of external relationships that facilitate this. You will develop write and proof content for marketing materials to communicate our activities and offer to a variety of different audiences, and work with curriculum areas within the College to share good news stories, students’ successes and curriculum-specific promotional material.

We’re looking for an individual who holds a Degree and/or a Marketing/PR qualification and who has experience of writing for different audiences and across different channels. You’ll have impeccable written and oral communication skills, intermediate computer literacy and strong relationship skills to allow you to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.

Able to think laterally about how to achieve outcomes, you will be able to work under pressure and prioritise deadlines whilst displaying tenacity and drive to get the job done in face of obstacles. You’ll have experience in organising events, internal or external and be aware of key processes to achieve successful outcomes from them.

Experience of planning, implementing and evaluating marketing and communications activities for a large, customer-focused organisation would be a huge advantage, as would a basic understanding of digital marketing and online tools, with a willingness to develop this further.
