Job overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematics and Science Teacher across our IGCSE and Key Stage 3 curriculum.

This is a full-time position for a teacher who can deliver these subjects in an innovative and effective manner. The candidate must demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, familiarity with the demands of IGCSE examinations, and understanding of age appropriate strategies for teaching at KS3 level.

The role will involve teaching of both Mathematics and Science, though the balance between the two and age range of the classes may be tailored to match the background and aptitudes of the successful candidate. Previous IGCSE experience in one of these subjects is preferred.

This position will suit flexible, enthusiastic, international and well-qualified candidates who can develop, maintain and stimulate pupils’ curiosity, interest and enjoyment in the subject.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in the subject;

• Full secondary teaching qualifications;

• Proficiency in English and other language/s;

• Excellent understanding of the demands of IGCSE examinations;

• Experience in teaching at a KS3/Middle School level.

Personal competences:

• Excellent knowledge of mathematics and sciences;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

• Commitment to fostering a multicultural and inclusive learning environment;

Key responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver well-structured business & economics lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum and learning objectives;

• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student performance through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth;

• Innovation: Integrate innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience and promote student engagement;

• Differentiated Instruction: Cater to the diverse needs of students by implementing differentiated instruction strategies, ensuring that all learners make progress;

• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and supports the emotional well-being of students;

• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in business & economics education;

• Parent Communication: Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on students' progress and communicate any concerns or achievements;

• Extracurricular Activities: May have the opportunity to participate in or lead extracurricular activities related to business & economics, or other areas of interest.
