Weydon Multi Academy Trust and The Park School are seeking an exceptional Maths Coordinator who shares our core values of aspiration and ambition for all. We are looking to appoint someone who will build trusting relationships, be restless in the pursuit of better, and be positive, inspiring and people-focused.

As an excellent teacher, you will be part of a team that builds on the school’s successes and will help lead it into its next phase of development. Using your creativity and knowledge, you will help develop an evolving Maths curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.

We also require the successful candidate to be:

  • A highly motivated and inspirational teacher.
  • Experienced in working with or have a passion to work with children with a wide range of educational needs, including social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs.
  • Committed to maximising student progress through setting high standards, using data and promoting effective teaching.
  • Able to lead, inspire and challenge a committed and hard-working team to achieve and maintain excellent practice.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding all students at The Park.

This post is a full-time role (5 days per week). Part-time (a minimum of 4 days per week) could be considered for the right candidate. The salary offered is COREM1 – ACCOMM6 (£31,250 – £42,689) plus SEN 1 allowance of £2,539 and a TLR 2A award of £3,214.

The Park School is a learning and additional needs special school that is part of WMAT, a dynamic, forward-thinking and innovative Trust. We are currently eight schools – three special schools, four secondaries and one primary. There are regular opportunities for collaborative working, CPD and the sharing of expertise between staff across the schools.

The Park School is a mixed Special School for students aged 11 to 16 with EHCPs for Learning and Additional Needs, drawing students from a wide range of socio-economic groups and from a wide radius. We have the same expectations as a mainstream secondary school and offer a secondary curriculum model. Our focus is very much on outcomes at 16, aiming to equip our students with the best academic and social and emotional foundations for adulthood.
