Nursery Assistant - p/t

If so, Bushey St James Trust (BSJT) has a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Nursery Assistant to join our growing multi academy Trust. The successful person will support the Nursery Manager with the development of our new ‘Little Gems Nursery’ which opened in September 2018. The nursery is an exciting new initiative offering subsidised childcare to members of staff employed by BSJT. 

The successful person will be passionate about providing a high level of childcare for children aged 3 months - 3 years. You will be able to demonstrate a love of learning with children. It is essential to ensure that their individual needs are met, together with building positive working relationships with the staff team, children and their parents/carers. As part of a team you will be involved with the continuing growth and development of the new nursery under the guidance of the Nursery Manager. Little Gems is located at Little Reddings Primary School which already has an established and well-led nursery.

The Little Gems Nursery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm weekdays during term-time and we are looking for someone to cover the hours of 8.00am to 10am all week and 4pm to 6.00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On a Tuesday we require cover from 2.00pm to 6.00pm. (A job share will be considered for the right people). Some flexibility will be required to cover for additional hours in the event of staff absence. The salary for the post is APT&C points 17 – 20 + fringe (currently £18,672p.a. to £19,819p.a. + £857p.a.), paid pro-rata based on hours worked. Actual salary point will depend on skills and experience.  This post is term-time + 2 weeks.

Bushey St James Trust is a great place to work and is made up of Bushey Meads School, Little Reddings Primary School and Hartsbourne Primary School. All of our schools have strong links with other local schools and good practice and ideas are shared across the Trust. Transport links are good with the M1, M25, A1 and A41 being close by and local bus routes are only a short walk.
