About North Town Primary School and Nursery

Thank you for your time and interest in North Town Primary School and Nursery. I have been lucky enough to be the head teacher at the school since April 2022 and feel very lucky and honoured to be leading the school.

North Town is a two-form entry town school which serves a wide community. We have over 430 children attending the school with another 50 children on roll at our nursery.

We have a committed and enthusiastic team of staff at the school who work together to ensure we can provide the best education possible and provide many opportunities for the children. The community are really supportive and onboard with everything we are aiming to achieve as a school. They know that the staff are approachable and work with us to ensure children progress.

The school leadership are ambitious with much experience to continue to improve the educational experience for all children. They work effectively as a team and work closely with all staff so that everyone at the school has a voice and feel listened to and that we are all working towards the same outcomes.

Staff are given opportunities to progress and develop in a caring and ambitious environment.

North Town Primary School and Nursery is part of The Richard Huish Trust. It is a Trust with a 6th form college, a secondary school and five primary schools. The schools work closely together in collaboration which has a positive impact on each setting.

We offer a creative curriculum built around core skills and emotional well-being. We strive to achieve success for all, regardless of ability.

If you are considering joining our team, please do take the time to visit so that I can give you a tour of the school and talk in greater depth about what we offer at North Town.

Best wishes,

Mark Braund
